Voices of the expert committee

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Christian Seidel,

"This congress has the potential and the task of providing a decisive impetus to secure the position of Germany and Bavaria in the leading group of the growth market of additive manufacturing."

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Christian Seidel
Head of Smart Manufacturing Lab, Munich University of Applied Sciences

Frank Carsten Herzog,

"Future prospects arise from an understanding of new technologies. The Next Gen Manufacturing Congress offers the right platform for this."

Frank Carsten Herzog
Founder and Managing Partner, HZG Group

Katrin Wudy,

"The transfer of scientific findings into industrial practice is crucial for the innovative capacity of our economy. Especially in the field of additive manufacturing, research and industry need to work more closely together in order to implement new technologies effectively and quickly. The 'Next Gen Manufacturing' congress offers an ideal platform to promote dialog between science and industry and to jointly develop solutions for a more efficient implementation of research results in practice."

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Katrin Wudy
Professorship of Laser-based Additive Manufacturing, TUM

Arno Held,

"Next Gen Manufacturing brings together the most important minds in Europe's leading industrial location. If you want to help shape the future, you can't miss out."

Arno Held
Managing Partner, AM Ventures

Toolcraft AG,

"For almost two decades, toolcraft AG has been successfully integrating additive manufacturing technologies into existing value chains - especially in regulated industries. As a technology provider from the SME sector, we would like to show at the 'Next Gen Manufacturing' congress how innovation and industrial maturity go hand in hand. In my role as one of the two heads of the Additive Manufacturing expert panel - appointed by the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs - I am particularly looking forward to the exchange at the congress."

Christoph Hauck
Chief Technology and Sales Officer, toolcraft AG

Dr. Karsten Heuser,

"Additive manufacturing is a key technology in more than 10 industries that makes it possible to achieve better energy generation, shorter repair cycles, cheaper customization or higher efficiency while using less material. Germany, and Bavaria in particular, is a pioneer along the entire value chain. The Bavarian High Tech Agenda is pursuing the strategic goal of remaining a leader in the future with machines, software, design and the use of industrial 3D printing. The aim of the strategy congress is to exchange strategies, needs and successes between all stakeholders, politics, industry, SMEs, start-ups and research and to identify common ways in which the next generation of manufacturing, enabled by AM, can be successfully shaped and how technologies such as AI and the development of strong ecosystems can help accelerate this transition."

Dr. Karsten Heuser
Vice President Additive Manufacturing, Siemens AG

Dr. Marius Lakomiec,

"The Next Gen Manufacturing Congress brings together precisely those players who will make our industry fit for the future. As a member of the expert committee, I see this as a unique platform to not only discuss innovations in the field of additive manufacturing and digitalized production processes, but to actively help shape them."
