Take a look behind the scenes of additive manufacturing!
As part of the congress, we offer you exclusive insights into selected companies in the region. Discover pioneering technologies, get to know best practices directly on site and talk to experts. Visits to BMW, EOS, MTU Aero Engines, Siemens and toolcraft will give you practical insights into state-of-the-art AM applications at leading companies.
In addition, we cordially invite you to our evening reception - an ideal opportunity to get to know each other, exchange ideas and arrive.
Please notice: Travel to and from the excursion or evening event is to be organized by the participants.
Gain insights into the industrialization of additive manufacturing from different perspectives. Siemens Digital Industry presents the Additive Digital Thread in the "Additive Manufacturing Experience Center" - the end-to-end process from the initial design idea to the store floor. Siemens Mobility presents insights into the industrial implementation of various AM technologies in the rail industry.
At Schaeffler Sondermaschinenbau, you will gain insights into an innovation that expands the powder bed process to include the possibility of multi-material applications, opening up completely new horizons.
toolcraft is a pioneer in forward-looking technologies such as additive manufacturing and the construction of individual turn-key robot solutions. Innovative processes are tested in engineering and brought to series maturity. As a partner for complete solutions, toolcraft offers the entire process chain from the idea to production to the qualified part in the field of CNC machining, additive manufacturing, injection molding, spark erosion and mold making. Customers include market leaders from the semiconductor industry, aerospace, medical technology, optical industry, special machine construction, motorsport and automotive sectors.
EOS is the world's leading technology provider for industrial 3D printing of metals and plastics. We are pioneers and innovators for integrated solutions in AM and have mastered the interaction of lasers and powder materials. We offer everything you need from a single source: 3D printers, materials and process parameters. The entire process is intelligently coordinated to enable reliably high part quality and a competitive advantage for our customers. Our portfolio also includes global service, comprehensive advice and training. Experience EOS live and discover our headquarters in Krailling near Munich as part of an exciting tour of our technology and innovation center - with EOS systems in real use.
During the Learning Expedition at TUM, current research setups and laboratories of the Chairs of Materials Technology of Additive Manufacturing (Prof. Mayr) and Laser-based Additive Manufacturing (Prof. Wudy) will be presented. You will gain insights into the processes of Powder Bed Fusion with laser or electron beam, Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing, Plasma Metal Deposition and Binder Jetting as well as the associated laboratories for material testing and characterization. The tour will also introduce you to the Venture Lab Additive Manufacturing with its infrastructure for start-ups and give you an insight into the activities of the AM network Bavaria Makes.
