European Digital Innovation Hub DigiCare

EDIH-DigiCare

The EDIH-DigiCare project is part of a Europe-wide network of European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIHs) set up by the EU Commission. In cooperation with the partners Medical Valley EMN e. V. and Bayern Innovativ Gesundheit, this project aims to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and healthcare providers in their digital transformation. Through a variety of services, targeted assistance and resources are provided to overcome digital challenges and make the best possible use of the potential of digitalization in the healthcare sector.

EDIH DigiCare offers services in four main areas:

• Skills and Training
• Networking and Innovation Ecosystem

Test before invest:

Test before invest services are currently under development. You can already take advantage of the following:

• Check-ups on digitalization, regulation and replacement for SMEs and start-ups. You can find more information on this at our partner Medical Valley

Support to find investments:

• Funding advice from the Bavarian Project Management Agency and the Funding Guides
• Advice on investments from our partner Medical Valley
• Franken Finance Festival

Skills and Training

The DigiCare Academy offers a wide range of training and further education opportunities for service providers, SMEs and the general public. Find the right offer from online & classroom training as well as recorded events and e-learning courses from our knowledge portal. The offers originate from the networks of Bayern Innovativ Gesundheit and Medical Valley EMN e.V., supplemented by our own events. The aim is to strengthen knowledge about digitalization in the healthcare sector and to bring the players in the healthcare sector together.

Networking and Innovation Ecosystem

We bring healthcare stakeholders together in various formats and drive innovation forward through cooperation and collaboration, e.g. through

• Healthtech Innovation Insights: Get exciting insights from the healthcare industry every other Wednesday. The year 2024 will be dedicated entirely to the two topics of digital security and digitalization in care. You can find more information here.
• MedTech Talks: Outstanding personalities from the healthcare sector talk about innovation in the healthcare sector and provide insights into their knowledge and what they do.

• Trend radar "Digitalization in healthcare":
  The trend radar was created as part of the "European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH) - DigiCare" project, which is co-funded by the European Commission. It analyses the current status of digitalization in healthcare in Germany and identifies both existing development potential and future prospects.
