Minister of State Hubert Aiwanger launched the TechHUB Battery in January 2026 to strengthen the battery ecosystem in Bavaria. The aim of our network is to promote cooperation between companies as well as between companies, universities and research institutions, thereby strengthening technology transfer and sustainably increasing innovative strength in Bavaria. We are also working closely with the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs to develop a Bavarian battery strategy. Bayern Innovativ is coordinating the TechHUB Battery, integrating existing cluster and network structures and bringing together the relevant players to create a Bavaria-wide battery ecosystem.
