Additive Manufacturing for the Future
October 23 - 24, 2025, Science Congress Center Munich
SECURE TICKETS NOW TO THE PROGRAM
Application-oriented, cross-industry, groundbreaking!
What does the future of production look like and what role will additive manufacturing play in it? The international Next Gen Manufacturing congress provides answers! We discuss with managing directors, CEOs, executives and politicians. For two days, we offer a unique platform for exchanging views on the latest innovations in the field of additive manufacturing in a wide range of application areas: Aerospace, Defense, Medical Technology, Mobility.
"Next Gen Manufacturing - Additive Manufacturing for the Future" is the meeting place for leading minds and innovators from various industries.
Bavaria's Minister of Economic Affairs Hubert Aiwanger will open the congress together with Minister of Science Markus Blume - they will explore the question of how High Tech Agenda Bavaria can create an environment of cutting-edge research for new technologies and what political framework conditions the industrial location offers for additive manufacturing.
The conference language is English.

Review of the AM Congress 2025
The Additive Manufacturing Congress 2025 was a complete success! With captivating presentations, pioneering exhibitors, and intensive exchanges among experts, one thing became clear: Additive Manufacturing has long since arrived in the industrial world and, with applications in space, has even gone far beyond it.
A big thank you goes to our sponsors, exhibitors, and the numerous visitors who brought the congress to life. Your active participation made the congress a central networking event for the AM community.
A special highlight was the keynote speech by ESA astronaut Dr. Matthias Maurer, who inspired the audience with visionary insights into the future and the spheres of Additive Manufacturing, providing plenty of topics for discussion during the networking sessions.

AM I Navigator - "The Manual to successfully industrialize AM tailored to the industries needs"
Despite the growing adoption of Additive Manufacturing (AM), many companies still face significant challenges in scaling AM processes to industrial levels. Key obstacles include manual post-processing steps, fragmented and discontinuous digital workflows across design, engineering, and shopfloor operations, as well as complex quality assurance procedures.
To systematically address these challenges, the AM I Navigator initiative was launched. At its core is a practice-oriented maturity model that supports both the industrialization of AM technologies and their integration into industrial production environments. The model spans ten dimensions across the domains of strategy, product, and production, and serves as the foundation for the AM I Navigator Check - a facilitated, on-site workshop for self-assessment within the company.
The goal is to determine the current maturity level, establish benchmarks, and collaboratively define a target state. Siemens and its partners then support the implementation - tailored, scalable, and cross-industry.
