The Thinknet 6G Summit 2022 provided a platform for over 250 participants to exchange insights on the current state of 6G research, new projects, and key challenges. A particular focus was placed on sustainability and the migration to 6G networks. The event impressively demonstrated how far the technology has already advanced and what steps need to follow next.

The Thinknet 6G Summit 2022, held on September 16, 2022, at the Design Offices Munich Highlight Towers, marked a significant milestone in the evolution of 6G technology. As the second annual summit organized by Thinknet 6G at Bayern Innovativ, the event attracted over 250 participants both on-site and online, underscoring the growing global interest in next-generation mobile communications.

The summit's agenda was comprehensive, featuring insights from the four German BMBF-funded 6G research hubs and discussions on the newly launched flagship project, 6G-ANNA. A significant emphasis was placed on sustainability in 6G, addressing the environmental challenges and opportunities associated with the technology. Additionally, a thought-provoking panel delved into the complexities of migrating to and deploying 6G networks, offering diverse perspectives from industry, research, and policy sectors.
