Lunch & Learn: Beyond the reporting obligation - the potential of AI in sustainability management

17. June 2026

12:00 - 13:00

Online-Event

How can sustainability be effectively implemented in a company - and what role can AI play in this? This is precisely the question we will address in our Lunch & Learn.

AI opens up new opportunities to make sustainability work more efficient, support processes and create new freedom. At the same time, it is changing the way in which companies embed and develop sustainability in their organizations. The world of work is a key field of action in this regard. In this webinar, we will examine the interplay between AI and sustainability from two perspectives: Science and practice.

Claudia Ricci from Fraunhofer IAO shows that the use of AI has the potential to make sustainability management more efficient and open up time and organizational freedom. This makes sustainability an effective competitive factor. The prerequisite for this is that AI and sustainability are understood and designed as a joint organizational task.

Our guest from the field is Sebastian Zerreis from acterience management partners GmbH & Co KG. His presentation will focus on the fact that sustainability is also effective when it creates efficiency and profitability. AI helps to develop precisely this effect and achieve the underlying goals. Specific examples will show how AI supports sustainability management and sustainable business practices.

We are organizing Lunch & Learn in cooperation with the IHK Munich and Upper Bavaria. The event is a format of the Working World 4.0 topic platform, which was set up and is funded by the Bavarian State Ministry for Family, Labor and Social Affairs (StMAS).
