Digital twins make medical technology service more efficient: less downtime, faster support, and direct access to information on the device—illustrated with real-world examples from actual rollouts.
In the medical technology sector, individual products are becoming increasingly interchangeable, while demands for service quality, device availability, and efficiency are on the rise. Using real-world examples, this presentation demonstrates how a digital twin for each device is becoming the foundation of modern service processes. The focus is on the user on-site: They access the relevant information directly at the device and resolve many issues independently, without an app. On the other hand, service organizations centrally manage maintenance, support, and documentation. This reduces downtime, eases the burden on service teams, and improves support for the installed base. Using concrete rollouts as examples, the presentation will highlight best practices, challenges, and the strategic role of digital twins in medical technology.
