2nd call for funding "Industrial 3D printing

In the Bavarian Future Initiative "3D Printing" of the MasterPlan Bayern Digital II, the Bavarian State Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy supports joint and cooperation projects for research and development work in the field of industrial additive manufacturing. Innovative R&D projects of materials, technologies and processes are funded. The aim is to strengthen and expand Bavaria as a location in the field of additive manufacturing. Bayern Innovativ GmbH takes over the coordination of the future initiative "3D printing" within the Coordination Office Additive Manufacturing. Term: 15.07.2019 - 30.09.2019 Applicants: Eligible are the grant recipients listed under No. 3 in the guidelines to the "Bavarian Collaborative Research Program (BayVFP)". Subject of funding: Concrete research and development needs exist, among others. Among other things, on the following topics:

  • Development of adapted materials for additive manufacturing processes against the background of a specific application along with the consideration of influencing parameters for component quality
  • Improved production and characterization of raw materials for additive processes, especially with regard to higher material efficiency and a derivation of material parameters
  • Targeted adjustment of local material properties through, among other things, multi-material processes for innovative solutions (eg. graded materials)
  • Development of real-time control systems in the context of process monitoring for the realization of selectively adjustable material properties
  • Development and qualification of recyclable materials with regard to reuse/recycling of starting material from the process with the goal of a closed material cycle

Funding rate: The grant (aid intensity) is

  • up to 50% of the eligible expenditure of the project or feasibility study in the case of industrial research,
  • up to 25% of the eligible expenditure of the project or feasibility study in the case of experimental development

Prerequisites: The guidelines for the "Bavarian Collaborative Research Program (BayVFP)" under no. 4 stated.

Applications are submitted via Projektträger Jülich: https://www.ptj.de/projektfoerderung/neue-werkstoffe-bayern
