After training at BMW AG, Robert Geiger completed his studies in general mechanical engineering at Regensburg University of Applied Sciences (now OTH Regensburg) in 1993 with a degree in engineering.

In 1994, he founded DELTA Engineering GmbH as an engineering office for micro-hydraulics and hydraulic drive technology in medical technology and developed, among other things, operating tables for customers worldwide in the period up to 2000. In 2001, he entered the field of medical robotics through a research project funded by the Bavarian High Tech Offensive, which led to the spin-off of AKTORmed GmbH in 2005.

Robert Geiger has been Managing Director of AKTORmed GmbH since 2007.
