Prof. Dr.-Ing. Armin Schneider

Position: Professor for Medical Technology, Jade University of Applied Sciences

Armin Schneider studied biomedical engineering at Lübeck University of Applied Sciences and at the Technical University of Munich, where he also completed his doctorate. For over 16 years, he conducted research in the Minimally Invasive Therapeutic Interventions (MITI) research group at Klinikum rechts der Isar, where he became technical and scientific director in 2010.
In 2016, he moved to Munich Surgical Imaging GmbH, where he was responsible for the research and further development of a digital 3D microscope and, as Director of Scientific Affairs, coordinated internal and external scientific exchange and initiated and carried out various research projects.
Since 2021, he has been teaching and researching as Professor of Medical Technology and Regulatory Affairs at the Jade University of Applied Sciences Wilhelmshaven with a focus on process recording and optimization to relieve the burden on nursing and the surgical team.
