NISAR improves efficiency through a central developer platform with a tool suite and AI design wizards. The startup NISAR is developing a networked tool suite and a developer platform to significantly increase efficiency in the development of data-driven systems. Our goal is a modern, cloud-based platform specifically for the data-driven development of mobile, intelligent systems, i.e. for automated driving and robotics. To this end, we are developing tools for modular architecture design, re-simulation and over-the-air vehicle integration as well as a browser specifically for ROS that can be used to debug nodes and topics live at runtime. We attach particular importance to design wizards that make the developers' work easier. AI makes a decisive contribution here: rule-based AI systems are advantageous here as they can derive design rules deterministically and precisely. Neural networks and deep learning, on the other hand, can generate more comprehensive design suggestions and even generate architectures and code automatically. The combination of different types of AI is therefore necessary to complement their strengths and compensate for weaknesses.
