  • .
  • Multiple use of thermal water . -The 65-grain thermal water will be cooled down to about 20 degrees by means of a heat exchanger and absorption heat pump, and the thermal energy thus obtained will be released into a newly constructed district heating network . -The thermal water is delivered to a thermal bath with multilayered uses of the baths and Balneologieanwendungen. -It is treated by the Zweckverband after cooling to drinking water and fed into the drinking water network of the city of Erding. -Possible further use as healing / mineral water.
  • The geothermal project Erding is an innovative, resource-conserving environmentally friendly future project, which helps in particular to ensure a sufficient environmentally friendly and domestic energy supply and effectively protect the natural foundations of life of our earth.
  • It will be in the final construction from about 1999 5,000 citizens of the city of Erding supplied with geothermal energy. Taking as a basis a 54% share of geothermal energy in the distributed heat, approximately 8% of the population of Erding will be heated exclusively from geothermal energy.
  • Furthermore, an important environmental contribution is made by the environment significant relieving emission values and a saving of primary energy to no lesser extent.
  • The investment volume of the geothermal project, especially for the thermal water extraction, heat generation, heat distribution and water treatment plants amounts to DM 25 million and is financed by the Zweckverband für Geowärme Erding. The financing is secured by the budget and financial planning adopted by the Zweckverband.
