Fachverband für Sanitär-, Heizungs- und Klimatechnik (SHK) Bayern is made up of 58 craft guilds with around 4,500 companies. This makes it one of the three largest state associations in Germany. As an employers' association, it represents the interests of the following occupational groups: tinsmiths, plumbers and heating engineers, stove and air heating engineers, as well as container and apparatus engineers. With around 64,000 employees and just under 6,400 apprentices, the trades generated total sales of around 8.0 billion euros in 2015.
