Safety Information Sheet for Electrical Equipment

Do you manufacture, sell, or import electrical or electronic devices, equipment, assemblies, or components? Are you familiar with the legal requirements? Can you demonstrate that your products comply with applicable safety regulations? No?

Then you should read this information sheet carefully. The first version of the Low-Voltage Directive was published as early as 1973 and has been amended many times since then. For the sake of clarity and readability, a new edition was recommended that incorporates all amendments and takes into account the “New Legislative Framework” (NLF) without introducing any significant technical changes. As before, electrical devices must not pose any safety hazards.
