The Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) at Bayern Innovativ is using the world's leading trade fair as a platform for strategic partnerships between the Bavarian semiconductor ecosystem and Canada's key players - with Canada's Semiconductor Council (CSC) and the Government of Ontario. The goals are concrete bilateral cooperation, joint projects and new market opportunities on both sides of the Atlantic. More than 40 companies are presenting their technologies at the "Canada-Bavaria SmartTech CONNECT" and are looking for partners and new technology suppliers.

With a strong signal for the glass industry's willingness to innovate, the workshop "Glass industry and climate protection: ways to reduce greenhouse gases" at the Spiegelau Technology User Center in early February was very well received and brought together stakeholders from many relevant areas. Representatives from glass producers, furnace and plant technology, energy supply companies, users of CO₂ recycling technologies and research institutions used the event to engage in an intensive exchange of views on current challenges, innovative solutions and specific transformation paths. With the new glass consultation hours, Bayern Innovativ is creating a low-threshold, personal advisory and networking service for the regional glass industry and related sectors as part of the Glass 2.0 network (Netzwerk Glas 2.0: Bayern Innovativ) founded last year. The regular consultation hours are now taking place at the Gründerwerkstatt Zwiesel and are aimed at companies, self-employed people, craft businesses, artists and other stakeholders who are interested in glass as a material or related topics.
