Technology transfer is managed via the Institute for Transfer and Cooperation (ITZ) as the central point of contact for the wide range of opportunities for joint activities within the scope of technology transfer at Landshut University of Applied Sciences. Additive manufacturing is a focus of action in the lightweight construction cluster at Landshut University of Applied Sciences. As a network of companies, research institutions and service providers, it has successfully established itself for almost 20 years as an institution for the support and promotion of cross-industry collaboration in lightweight technologies and has become known beyond the borders of Bavaria through the regular annual events such as the Practical Forum 3D Printing and the Landshut Lightweight Colloquium (LLC)

Profile

The Laboratory for Additive Manufacturing (LaF) of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering is strongly involved in the lightweight construction cluster of Landshut University of Applied Sciences in the context of technology transfer. In addition to undergraduate teaching, it focuses in particular on exchange in research and development as well as cooperation with companies and other institutions on topics related to additive technology. Regular specialist lecture forums promote communicative exchange as well as knowledge and technology transfer.
