Frequently asked questions about funding projects
Each funding programme is organized and managed by a specific project management agency on behalf of state or federal ministries, to which the applications are submitted. Projektträger Bayern is one of these project management agencies. On behalf of the Bavarian State Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy, we manage a wide range of technology funding programs in Bavaria, from consulting to application processing and billing. We also manage funding programs from other Bavarian state ministries.

Most of the funding programs managed by Projektträger Bayern are generally intended to promote new technologies or research and development. As a rule, the planned funding project must therefore involve a technological and economic risk, go beyond the state of the art and also have positive market prospects. However, the level of innovation content required for funding depends on the respective funding program and its guidelines.

No, the same project may not be subsidized from different funding pots. However, you may use different subsidies for different projects. In this case, certain upper limits must be observed for the total amount of funding that a company may use. For example, certain funding programs fall under the European de minimis aid regulation.
