Defense TechDay 2026: Technological dominance in action

The security policy situation requires an accelerated transfer of technology into operational use. While the debate is often dominated by regulatory frameworks and procurement processes, Defence TechDay focuses on the technological substance. It is about answering the question of how disruptive innovations ensure superiority in future scenarios.

TechHUB SVI, together with the Bundeswehr Innovation Center (InnoZBw), invites you to experience the developments of the past twelve months live. We are leaving the theoretical realm and demonstrating what technological sovereignty means in practice on the site of the former Erding air base.

Defence TechDay 2026 breaks with traditional trade fair formats. We are not showing isolated exhibits, but curated scenarios. The aim is to present the interaction of different systems - from sensor technology to data processing to the active element - under realistic operational conditions.

The event is designed as a closed format to ensure a professional exchange at the highest level.

Participants

The invitation is aimed at stakeholders who are actively involved in shaping Germany's defense capabilities:

• Decision-makers in the security and defense industry.
• System manufacturers in the areas of Unmanned Systems (UxS), Military Space, Robotics and Missiles & Munitions.
• Experts from the security research sector.
• Members of the Bundeswehr, ministries and subordinate authorities.
• Users (soldiers, members of the police, civil protection, etc.)

Due to the security-specific requirements and the limited capacities in Erding, prior registration is mandatory. Each registration will be checked individually to ensure the professional homogeneity of the group of participants.

Your full name will be transmitted to the Bundeswehr for access to the site. Admission requires the presentation of a valid identity card.
Persons with nationalities on the list of countries according to www.bmi.bund.de/SharedDocs/downloads/DE/veroeffentlichungen/themen/sicherheit/staatenliste-para-13-anleitung-sicherheitserklaerung.pdf are not permitted to enter the grounds and are therefore not allowed to participate. False information will result in exclusion from the event.
