International Defence TechDay 2026: Technological Dominance in Action
17. September 2026
10:00 - 17:00
KI-Generiert mit OpenAI,
International Defence TechDay 2026: Experience connected technologies for tomorrow’s battlefield live at Erding Air Base. We’ll showcase innovations for the Bundeswehr that go beyond PowerPoint—practical, systemic, and ready for deployment.
The International Defence TechDay 2026 brings together government representatives, armed forces, industry leaders, research institutions, innovative technology companies, and international partners to showcase the latest developments in defence and security technologies.
Hosted at the newly established Defence Lab Erding (DLE), the event demonstrates how emerging technologies can enhance operational effectiveness across all domains. Through realistic mission scenarios, live technology demonstrations, expert discussions, and networking opportunities, participants gain first-hand insights into future defence capabilities.
The event focuses on strengthening collaboration between national and European stakeholders while accelerating innovation, technology transfer, and operational readiness for current and future security challenges.
Modern defence requires rapid innovation, resilient technologies, and close cooperation between military users, industry, research organisations, and public authorities. International Defence TechDay 2026 provides a platform where these communities meet to present practical solutions for complex operational scenarios.
Rather than traditional product presentations, technologies are demonstrated within an integrated operational storyline ("Shield & Swarm 2026"), illustrating how different capabilities interact across multiple domains in realistic mission environments.
Participants will experience:
- Live demonstrations of cutting-edge defence technologies
- Multi-domain operational scenarios
- Expert panels with military and industry leaders
- Networking with international defence stakeholders
- Opportunities for collaboration across government, industry, academia, and SMEs
- Insights into future European defence innovation initiatives
Key Topics
The programme highlights technologies and operational concepts including:
- Multi-Domain Operations
- Space-Based Intelligence & Early Warning
- Multi-Domain Awareness
- Cyber Defence
- Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (ISR)
- Autonomous Systems
- Robotics and Uncrewed Platforms
- Mine Clearance
- Integrated Effects across Land, Air, Space and Cyber
- Medical Evacuation (CASEVAC / MEDEVAC)
- Defence Innovation and Emerging Technologies
- European Defence Cooperation
The central element of International Defence TechDay is the operational demonstration scenario "Shield & Swarm 2026".
The storyline follows a realistic multi-domain mission in which advanced technologies, autonomous systems, cyber capabilities, ISR assets, and space-based services interact to support military decision-making and operational effectiveness.
Instead of isolated technology demonstrations, attendees experience how innovative solutions complement one another throughout a complete operational mission.
