Mobile health apps offer new possibilities for prevention and therapy, but their quality is often difficult to assess. The Mobile Health App Database (mhad.science) creates transparency by evaluating health apps according to scientifically sound criteria and with validated instruments (e.g. MARS-G).
Mobile health apps offer new possibilities for prevention and therapy, but their quality is often difficult to assess. The Mobile Health App Database (mhad.science) creates transparency by evaluating health apps according to scientifically sound criteria and with validated instruments (e.g. MARS-G). Automated processes support the collection and updating of relevant app data. The presentation will also highlight general approaches and evaluation frameworks for the quality assurance of digital health applications such as mERA, ORCHA and kvappradar.de and discuss their significance for clinical practice and safety in the healthcare sector.
