The Bavarian Chips Alliance of Bayern Innovativ GmbH, together with Swansea University and SEMI, has hosted an interactive workshop focused on strengthening cybersecurity throughout the semiconductor industry supply chain. Participants learned how to navigate the new, free, standardized supplier security framework and master the SSCA.
Overview
This session introduced the Semiconductor Manufacturing Cybersecurity Consortium (SMCC) and its standardized Semiconductor Supplier Cybersecurity Assessment (SSCA) framework, a streamlined approach to improving supply chain security assurance. Participants gained insights into evidence mapping for compliance, explored best practices aligned with NIST’s cybersecurity functions, and engaged in discussions with industry experts.
The workshop offered a unique opportunity for semiconductor suppliers, compliance professionals, or members of the broader manufacturing ecosystem to shape future standards and enhance resilience in semiconductor security.
