Workshop
Multiplier workshop as part of SCALE-MX: Making innovations from Manufacturing-X accessible together
4. February 2026
10:00 - 17:00
Niedersachsen.Next GmbH,
Industrial data rooms offer great potential for value creation, especially for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). As there is often little time to familiarize oneself intensively with the topic alongside day-to-day business, multipliers have a special role to play in facilitating suitable access. The workshop will also include the presence module of the SCALE-MX train-the-trainer offer. This will teach the integration of the EcoChain simulation game.
The aim of the workshop is to help you explain the topic of industrial data spaces to your target group.
The workshop will begin with an introduction to industrial data spaces in the context of the German Manufacturing-X initiative, followed by an interactive session in which we will analyze the industries, challenges and needs of your target group.
After a joint lunch break with the opportunity for exchange and networking, we will focus on the question of how industrial data spaces can be used specifically for your target group. Here we will present formats that have been developed in SCALE-MX for multipliers and discuss with you how you can use them tailored to your target group
The workshop will also include the presence module of the SCALE-MX train-the-trainer offer. This will teach you how to integrate the EcoChain simulation game.
EcoChain offers a practical introduction to key future topics such as digitalization, data ecosystems, supply chain resilience and the circular economy. It is conducted digitally using a touch screen or projector and is ideal for integration into face-to-face events and workshops on digital transformation, sustainable production or the introduction of the digital product passport.
The workshop is aimed at the following target groups
-
Public funding institutions and innovation agencies: as coordinators of regional and supra-regional networks, you specifically promote technology transfer.
-
SME Digital Centres: They are regional contacts for the digitalization of SMEs.
-
Transfer network of the Industry 4.0 platform: They have successfully developed transfer formats and are now taking the next step with Manufacturing-X.
-
Transfer offices at universities and research centers: They offer tried-and-tested transfer formats and contribute the latest scientific findings.
-
Advice centers and service providers: They support companies in the implementation of digital transformation and the secure exchange of data.
-
Industry and trade associations: They provide practical insights for your industry and develop industry-specific best practice formats.
-
Chambers of industry and commerce: They act as bridge builders between business, research and politics. They also want to promote the exchange of know-how at Manufacturing-X.
-
Trade associations and cluster initiatives: They strengthen the position of companies in competition through networked solutions and target group-oriented transfer formats.
Participation is free of charge. Register now and secure your place!
The workshop is part of the SCALE-MX project.
SCALE-MX is the transfer initiative of Manufacturing-X, in which X-projects develop data spaces for different industries. SCALE-MX aims to demonstrate the benefits of industrial data rooms to users, suppliers and multipliers and to motivate them to participate. The team is working on making the concept of data rooms understandable, connecting companies and scaling data rooms. SCALE-MX is funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE) and is an association of VDMA, ZVEI, Niedersachsen.next, Bayern Innovativ, DIHK Service GmbH and WIK under the leadership of VDMA and ZVEI.
