Expert Meeting Battery Systems - Technology & Cooperation at SKZ in Würzburg
29. October 2026
10:00 - 16:00
CHERNOV SERGII chernov_photo.io.ua,
From the cell to the pack: technologies and solutions for modern battery systems.
Technological developments in the battery ecosystem do not end with cell production, but also extend to the development and production of complete battery systems. High-performance and reliable battery packs are being created from individual battery cells, while at the same time the demands on quality, scalability and costs are constantly increasing.
The Battery Systems symposium is dedicated to this topic. The focus is on the question of how battery cells are integrated into functional systems, which technological and process-related requirements play a role in this and which companies offer specific solutions for this.
The event will focus on the interplay between different disciplines in the development and production of battery systems. In particular, this includes joining technologies, material development for passive components and quality assurance.
Program highlights
In addition to keynotes from industry and research, you can expect in-depth contributions and focus sessions on
- Joining and bonding in battery system production
- Material development for passive components
- Quality assurance and testing concepts
- Qualification requirements and further training approaches in production
As a special highlight: topic-specific guided tours through the SKZ pilot plants
Your added value
- First-handpractical knowledge
- Technical depth through presentations from industry and research
- Insights into real pilot plant environments at the SKZ
- Focus on qualification and skilled worker development
- Direct exchange with relevant players in the battery value chain
- Networking and initiation of joint projects
The SKZ is an established, industry-oriented research institute with a focus on plastics technology as well as education and training. As a non-profit organization, the SKZ combines applied research, industrial practice and qualification and supports companies in the development and implementation of innovative solutions.
The focus is on material development, processing technologies and quality assurance, among other things. With its modern pilot plants, the SKZ offers practical environments in which new processes can be tested and further developed.
In addition, the SKZ qualifies specialists for future-relevant technologies and supports companies in building up specific skills.
Registration will be activated in the next few weeks. We will be happy to reserve you for the event on request, please contact Laura Kuhlmann directly
