What role do connected, autonomous, and sustainable mobility solutions play in shaping the way we get around, and who is driving these innovations forward? At our networking conference, thought leaders, companies, and creative minds come together to explore current trends such as autonomous systems, data-driven mobility platforms, and climate-friendly transportation solutions. Look forward to forward-thinking insights, interactive discussions, and valuable connections within a dynamically connected mobility ecosystem.

The Mobility Conference in Munich – Mobility Connected!

The 2026 Network Conference brings together leading figures from business, research, startups, and local governments in Munich to jointly shape the mobility of the future. The event focuses on innovations for sustainable, digital, and smart mobility solutions that make our cities and rural areas fit for the future.

Whether it’s the mobility transition, tomorrow’s transportation solutions, or the role of digitalization in transportation —this is where decision-makers, visionaries, and implementers come together.

Discover best practices and technological innovations, and learn from thought leaders in mobility research and the mobility industry.

Focus on Future Trends & Smart Mobility Solutions

The mobility of the future needs new ideas, bold concepts, and connected stakeholders. In recent years, our networking conference has established itself as a central platform to facilitate exactly that: an open exchange on technological, social, and economic developments in the mobility sector.

Following a successful event in 2025, where over 120 participants from business, academia, and politics gathered to discuss digital mobility solutions, automated driving, and connected transportation systems, we will continue the dialogue in 2026 with fresh insights.

Here’s what to expect in 2026:

Look forward to a diverse program featuring practical keynotes, interactive panels, inspiring project pitches, and plenty of networking opportunities. In our accompanying exhibitor area, companies, startups, and research institutions will present their innovative solutions in the fields of mobility, infrastructure, energy, and digitalization.

Experience a day full of exciting insights, new contacts, and creative ideas—in an inspiring location with excellent catering.

Together, we’re shaping the mobility of tomorrow—be part of it!

Mobility is a human right. Why our mobility systems are not gender-neutral

Meike Wenzl
Beraterin für menschenzentrierte Transformation, Innovation & AI-Enablement, metafinanz Informationssysteme GmbH

As a transformation consultant at metafinanz, Meike Wenzl shapes the digital transformation with a radically human-centered approach. For her, value-adding AI applications and technological innovations emerge precisely where people are at the center. She brings this perspective specifically to the mobility sector: She critically examines the influence of artificial intelligence on our movement patterns and engages intensively with the gender data gap. Meike Wenzl demonstrates in a practical way how AI systems must be trained with a human-centered approach to close data gaps rather than reproduce existing biases. In doing so, she combines technology, social equity, and organizational processes to create genuine, people-driven change initiatives.

We are interested in how crowd density changes when each person is a node in an ad hoc network. Density thus influences network quality. The AI method "Dynamic Mode Composition" enables precise predictions. At the same time, the quantity of interest is broken down into components that can be understood and interpreted using classical engineering mathematics.

The Challenge of a Smart Vehicle Fleet: Traffic Congestion on the Würzburg Ring Road

Würzburg’s ring road is ideal for long-distance traffic looking to take a shortcut between the A3 and A7. It is not uncommon for the route through the city to be a few minutes faster than the one via the Biebelried interchange, which is why popular navigation systems suggest this route. With the increasing availability of real-time routing systems, it stands to reason that this route is also being used more frequently by vehicles that might previously have been more likely to follow the highway signs. These vehicles place a burden on the urban traffic system, with all the well-known consequences (traffic jams, wait times, and strain on the environment and infrastructure).

Unlocking the hidden potential of private parking spaces

Yasotharan Pakasathanan
Co-Founder und CEO, ampido

Many cities are grappling with a shortage of parking spaces. At the same time, numerous private parking spaces in underground garages, courtyards, and commercial areas remain unused for much of the day.

Using the Agnesviertel study as an example, the presentation highlights the potential of digital multi-use of private parking spaces. The findings reveal that the parking revolution does not necessarily begin with new construction, but rather with the improved multi-use of existing spaces.

A Look Back at 2025

The networking conference“Innovations for the Mobility of the Future”offered an inspiring day full of new ideas, discussion, and discoveries. More than 120 decision-makers and experts from research, industry, and startups gathered to collectively envision and actively shape the mobility transition.

The focus was on three thematic blocks:
Parking, Charging, Sharing,
Innovations in Public Transportation, and
Intelligent Traffic Management.

Here are the key takeaways:
• Digitalization and connectivity make mobility more efficient and sustainable.
• The transformation process remains challenging—especially in the interplay between urban and rural areas.
• It is essential to make data visible today, connect infrastructure intelligently, and keep an eye on new business models.

The presentations and discussions revealed that digitalization and connectivity are making mobility more efficient and sustainable, yet the transformation process remains challenging—especially in the interplay between urban and rural areas. (Bayern Innovativ) It became particularly clear how important it is to make data visible today, to intelligently connect infrastructure, and to keep an eye on new business models.

Networking was a key part of the event: Through targeted formats, active exchange was encouraged, so that attendees not only took away inspiration from the presentations but also forged concrete connections—ranging from partnerships and project ideas to follow-up discussions.

In the accompanying exhibitor and activity area, 12 exhibitors presented their solutions and concepts for the mobility of tomorrow. The city rally was also very well received, allowing municipalities to share their challenges and ideas and engage in direct competition and exchange with solution providers.

Overall, the day served as a powerful catalyst for the industry—with a focus on sustainable mobility, connected transportation systems, and forward-looking infrastructure. Many thanks to all participants, speakers, and exhibitors who brought this conference to life!
