Focus on production of the future - study visits & project meetings
The RECENTRE project consortium was a guest in Augsburg

At the beginning of July, the international RECENTRE project partners visited the Mechatronics & Automation Cluster in Augsburg. In addition to the consortium meeting, the program included study visits to the Augsburg Technology Center, the AI Production Network Augsburg, the University of Augsburg with the AI Showroom and Hall 43, the Fraunhofer IGCV with the Model Factory and the TH Augsburg with the OITC.
Two days full of innovation, exchange and inspiration! The international RECENTRE project team was able to get to know the Augsburg production site and had the opportunity to gain insights into the topic of "Production of the future".
In addition to exciting insights into initial project results on the topic of multiple transformation/Industry 5.0, the meeting offered plenty of opportunity for professional exchange. Dr. Barbara Giehmann and Stefan Meier presented the Production department at Bayern Innovativ and the Augsburg AI Production Network as well as the production location Augsburg as a Bavarian lighthouse.
There were also inspiring guided tours of the Augsburg Technology Center with its hall, the AI showroom and Hall 43 at the University of Augsburg, the Fraunhofer IGCV with its model factory and the Open Industrial Training Center (OITC) at Augsburg University of Applied Sciences - places where future technologies become tangible.
The impulses from these visits not only gave us food for thought, but also opened up new perspectives for our project work.
