The delegation trip to Turkey opens up new opportunities for Bavarian companies in mechanical engineering and automation. Network with industry players and discover local business potential.

The Bavarian State Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy, Bayern International and the Economic Representative Office of the Free State of Bavaria in Turkey are organizing a delegation trip to Turkey from 6 - 10 October 2026. The trip will focus on mechanical engineering and automation and will take place under the political leadership of State Secretary Tobias Gotthardt.

Turkey is an industrial location with a high use of machines to manufacture products, but also a producer of machines or machine parts. The Turkish mechanical engineering sector is one of the most dynamic branches of industry in the country and is strongly export-oriented, with growing sales markets, particularly in the EU, the Middle East and Central Asia.

German mechanical engineering companies traditionally have an important sales market for their products in Turkey, as evidenced by excellent export figures. We see particularly good opportunities for Bavarian component suppliers (e.g. automation, drive technology, pumps, couplings).

Against the backdrop of increasing demands for automation, energy efficiency and digitalization, the best business opportunities are opening up along the entire value chain, especially for innovative Bavarian suppliers.

During the trip, we will talk to important representatives of the export-oriented Turkish mechanical engineering industry. We are also looking to exchange ideas with German companies that are already active in the country. The destinations of the trip are Istanbul and Bursa.
