The event focuses on innovations for sustainable, digital and smart mobility solutions that will make our cities and rural areas fit for the future.

Whether it's the mobility turnaround, transport solutions of tomorrow or the role of digitalization in transport - this is where decision-makers, visionaries and implementers meet.

Discover best practices, technological innovations and learn from thought leaders from mobility research and the mobility industry.

Focus on future trends & smart mobility solutions

The mobility of the future needs new ideas, bold concepts and networked players. In recent years, our network conference has established itself as a central platform to facilitate exactly that: an open exchange on technological, social and economic developments in the mobility sector.

Following a successful event in 2024, which brought together over 150 participants from business, science and politics to discuss digital mobility solutions, automated driving and networked transport systems, we are continuing the dialog in 2025 with fresh impetus.

What awaits you in 2025:

You can look forward to a varied program with practical keynotes, interactive panels, inspiring project pitches and a wide range of networking opportunities. In our accompanying exhibitor area, companies, start-ups and research institutions will present their innovative solutions for mobility, infrastructure, energy and digitalization.

Experience a day full of exciting insights, new contacts and creative ideas - in an inspiring location with excellent catering.

Together we are shaping the mobility of tomorrow - be part of it!

Parking, charging, sharing

In the digital mobility ecosystem, the car is changing from a private possession to an intelligently networked mobility component. It should no longer dominate traffic space, but be efficiently integrated into shared, multimodal systems in line with demand. What approaches exist in the context of parking, charging and shared mobility to lower emissions, reduce parking pressure and increase road safety?

Digital services are the key to attractive and seamless mobility. However, we still face key challenges on the road to connected mobility.
This presentation will shed light on how we are dealing with the complex issues surrounding customer experience, monetization and technical integration.
Find out which trends will shape the mobility of tomorrow and how the path to this goal will be shaped.

In many places, traffic looking for parking is seen as an unavoidable side effect of everyday urban life. However, intelligent parking data, strategic guidance and smart infrastructure decisions can change the picture. Current projects from Frankfurt and Munich will be used to show how cities can control traffic even before it reaches the city limits, promote Park+Ride and create additional added value. Initial experiences and approaches from both cities provide an outlook on whether and how parking search traffic can be significantly reduced in the future with the right strategy.

The OMEI project focuses on public data and tools for the planning and optimization of fast and bidirectional charging infrastructures. A core objective is the integration of regional renewable energy sources with sustainable energy storage systems for the networking of mobility and a transformed energy system.
As vehicle-to-home (V2H) and vehicle-to-grid (V2G) are central components of the OMEI project, the latest advances in bi-directional charging technologies will be highlighted and their role in unlocking the flexibility potential of electric vehicles will be emphasized.

Block 2

Innovations in public transport

Public transport plays a central role in the mobility transition and is increasingly becoming a driver of innovation. At the same time, the challenges are growing due to a shortage of skilled workers and funding bottlenecks. What potential do approaches such as automated driving, mobility-as-a-service and more offer in terms of increasing quality and efficiency in public transport?

Public transport as the backbone of the mobility transition (working title)

Mitgründer & Geschäftsführer, Vesputi GmbH

Public transport is the backbone of the mobility transition. Sustainable mobility can only succeed if buses and trains are easy to use, digitally accessible and widely networked. In order to increase the use of public transport, innovative approaches are needed that lower access barriers and inspire new target groups to use public transport. In his presentation, Linus Frank uses the example of the Mobilitybox to show how this can turn public transport into the center of an open, sustainable mobility ecosystem.

How can the use of a mobility app be better understood without resorting to personal data or invasive tracking methods? This presentation reports from practice: Using the "swa Mobil" app from Stadtwerke Augsburg, we will look at how usage behavior can be analyzed and the app improved in a targeted manner - despite (or perhaps because of) high data protection requirements.

We shed light on what data is available, how it can be interpreted and where the limits lie. We will also look at the decisions that need to be made if traditional analysis tools are not used - and what this means for product development. The presentation is aimed at anyone who is involved in data-driven product development but takes user protection seriously.

This presentation offers an exciting insight into the ongoing EU Horizon project ULTIMO with autonomous level 4 vehicles. After a short project presentation, findings and challenges in on-demand test operation in Oslo will be presented, including challenges in winter. The implementation of the Logistic as a Service (LaaS) concept for cross-financing autonomous vehicle fleets in Geneva is then discussed. Finally, the user-centered development approach with a focus on accessibility in Herford will be described, which will lead to the preparation and launch of scheduled services with Level 4 vehicles.

What do the participants take away?

  • Challenges in training and set-up for L4 vehicles in public transport operations.
  • LaaS as a cross-financing option in public transport and an opportunity for local companies to implement same-day delivery.
  • Accessibility challenges in Level 4 operation and possible solutions.
  • Requirements from the co-creation workshop in Herford and their implementation in test operation.
  • Lessons learned in the project work.

Intelligent traffic management

Intelligent traffic management and C-ITS are the key to a safe, climate-friendly and space-efficient mobility system. By networking traffic data, real-time control and predictive planning, traffic flows more smoothly, accidents are reduced and emissions are lowered.

C-ITS - it sounds technical, but at its core it is something very human: communication. Vehicles and road infrastructure are starting to talk to each other - and this is changing the way we think about transportation. The presentation shows what is behind "Cooperative Intelligent Transport Systems", how people, technology, standards and regulation interact and where C-ITS can already be discovered today. With practical examples and short stories, we will take a look into the future: what does networked, cooperative mobility really look like - and how close are we already to it?"

Integration of road weather and environmental data into traffic management systems in real time

New European air quality standards and emission ceilings from 2030, as well as additional requirements for monitoring urban infrastructure, pose considerable challenges for many municipalities.
The integration of real-time data into environmentally sensitive traffic control systems offers a tool for monitoring and optimizing traffic. Presentation of various examples of solutions in German cities with practical examples of how weather data (e.g. precipitation, slippery roads) and environmental data (e.g. particulate matter and harmful gases) are integrated and which use cases are implemented with them.

From data to decisions: How artificial intelligence is revolutionizing traffic management

Daniel Hofmann
Strategic Client Director, Deutsche Telekom

Our cities and regions are at a crossroads: how can increasingly complex traffic flows be managed effectively while achieving climate targets? The AIAMO research project shows how artificial intelligence, digital twins and networked data infrastructures are transforming municipal traffic management - from pilot regions to nationwide scaling.

Experience practical insights into how intelligent algorithms link real-time data from the environment, traffic and mobility to optimize flows, reduce emissions and make decisions transparent. T-Systems' multi-cloud platform as the technological backbone creates secure, scalable framework conditions, while ITS Germany as consortium leader ensures coordination and knowledge exchange - so that the mobility of tomorrow is not only planned, but lived.
