18.05.2026
Three strong networks, one common goal: shaping the future of production. The Augsburg AI Production Network, the Production Innovation Network and the Digitalization Innovation Network are pooling their expertise at the Rocketeer Festival.
At the Rocketeer Festival 2026 in Augsburg, it once again became clear how dynamically topics such as artificial intelligence, digital transformation and new business models are developing. The festival once again established itself as the central platform for digital innovations and future topics in the Augsburg region. The focus was on inspiring talks, panels and networking formats in which experts shared their perspectives on the digital future. The festival saw itself as a meeting place for "doers" and "pioneers" who wanted to play an active role in shaping future developments.

The program was packed with many top-class presentations - here is a brief insight:

- Prof. Dr. Katharina Beyer and Prof. Dr. Matthias Heck from Augsburg University Hospital gave a glimpse into the medicine of the future. They showed how robotic surgery at Augsburg University Hospital has made cancer treatment safer and more precise, setting new standards in treatment.
- Sönke Marahrens (Colonel of the German Armed Forces & expert on hybrid warfare) shed light on security and social aspects. In his presentation, he explained why hybrid threats not only affect the economy and technological developments, but also society as a whole. His core message: resilience is the central core competence here and hybrid threats can also be seen as an opportunity.
