Viessmann Climate Solutions and software specialist Green Fusion have agreed to collaborate on the digitalization of heating systems in the housing industry.
Green Fusion GmbH, a specialist in heat and energy management software, and climate solution provider Viessmann Climate Solutions (VCS) are joining forces to accelerate the green energy transition in the housing industry. VCS is part of the "Carrier Global Corporation", a provider of intelligent climate and energy solutions. The aim of the agreed cooperation is to effectively reduce energy consumption, costs and CO2 emissions with the help of automated control and optimization of system operation, the companies announced.
VCS provides a large proportion of heating systems in the housing industry. More and more of these systems have a data connection ex works, meaning that all relevant operating and status data can be provided and accessed directly in the VCS Cloud. As part of the partnership, the intelligent energy-saving pilot from Green Fusion is now to be connected directly to the systems at the request of the system operators in order to increase the operating efficiency of the heating systems through holistic optimization and automated control.
As part of the VCS Developer Program, operating data such as flow and return temperatures, heating curves and many other settings are transferred to Green Fusion's cloud-based energy management platform via a standardized interface (API). Taking into account all relevant parameters and weather data, the Berlin-based company's AI-based software continuously and automatically controls and optimizes the heating systems.
Connection of over 100 systems planned for this year
"On the path to climate neutrality, there is no way around the digital boiler room and standardized interfaces are the be-all and end-all for exploiting the full potential here," said Green Fusion CEO Paul Hock. In VCS, they have found a very innovative manufacturer that is actively driving this forward. "We are delighted to be one of the first partners in this pioneering program and plan to connect over 100 systems via the Viessmann API before the end of 2024," announced Hock.
Thomas Beck, Head of Channel Housing and Healthcare at VCS, added: "Our customers and partners have an increasing need for intelligent solutions for the digital transformation of heating systems, for more sustainability and comfort." As a provider of efficient and systemic climate and renewable energy solutions, the company is therefore continuing to move forward with the support of Green Fusion, said Beck.
