The Infozentrum UmweltWirtschaft (IZU) is expanding its offering for companies with new free web seminars and digital work aids. The focus is on operational climate risk analyses and the efficient use of waste heat to reduce energy costs.

In line with a newly published Excel tool for climate risk analysis, IZU is launching a four-part web seminar series entitled "Operational climate risk analysis - know how!". The series provides companies with practical information on how climate risks can be systematically identified, evaluated and integrated into operational decisions.

The individual dates deal with topics such as getting started with climate risk analysis, typical climate hazards in Bavaria, assessing risks and using the results for specific operational measures. The webinars will take place between May 20 and June 30, 2026.

IZU is also offering another free web seminar on the topic of waste heat recovery on June 10, 2026. Under the title "Rising energy costs? How to use waste heat efficiently and economically", companies will gain insights into the potential of waste heat utilization and the use of a waste heat calculator to evaluate operational savings opportunities.

With these offers, the IZU aims to support companies in increasing their energy efficiency, identifying climate risks at an early stage and remaining competitive in the long term.

Below you will find information on the individual events:
