The start-up "ENVIRIA" has launched a complete solution on the market with "PeakHive". The new product increases the energy self-sufficiency of companies, says the provider.

The solar project developer and system operator Enviria, headquartered in Frankfurt am Main, has developed a complete solution for self-consumption of solar power for commercial enterprises and the real estate sector. According to the startup, it combines the solar system with a battery storage unit, an energy management system and components for the charging infrastructure of electric vehicles. In addition, residual electricity procurement is also included in the package, according to Enviria.

While the solar system business will continue to operate under the Enviria umbrella brand, all supplementary energy solutions will be bundled under the Peakhive brand. "With the Peakhive brand, we are trying to develop from a stand-alone solar provider to a sustainable decentralized energy supplier," explains Enviria Managing Director Melchior Schulze Brock.

Enviria tailors its solutions to the needs of the respective commercial enterprise. "With Peakhive, we are expanding our portfolio to include all components that go beyond the photovoltaic system," says Melchior Schulze Brock, Managing Director of Enviria. And he promises: "Companies benefit from 100 percent green electricity, reduce their energy costs and have the opportunity to generate additional income through innovative rental models."

Peakhive's products would relieve the burden on companies in two ways: on the one hand, energy costs would be reduced by optimizing self-consumption and procurement. At the same time, companies would have the opportunity to participate in energy trading as part of rental models and generate additional income through profit sharing.

Enviria secures high tender volume

In the rooftop PV tender in February of this year, it was noticeable that the project developer specializing in commercial and industrial PV was awarded a total of 53 MW or 17 percent of the 317 MW. According to Enviria, this meant that all of its 22 bids were successful. The PV systems are to be installed primarily in the second half of the year.

Enviria entered the market as a full-service PV provider for trade and industry and has expertise in large PV roof systems with an output of more than 90 kW. The company rents commercial roof space, sells or leases the solar systems and sells the green electricity directly to the commercial enterprises underneath on request.

Founded in 2017, the start-up secured additional capital for the company's growth in spring 2024. US investor Blackrock joined Enviria via a capital increase of more than 200 million US dollars (equivalent to around 184 million euros). According to Enviria, it has implemented more than 500 commercial projects since it was founded.
