Transnational Pilot Advanced Materials

Two intensive and inspiring days in Augsburg are behind us: our "Advanced Materials" topic group came together at the RTIT Transnational Pilot to discuss innovation networks relating to materials and production as well as the Bavarian ecosystem.

The insights into strong Bavarian initiatives and our local partners were particularly valuable, including Cluster Offensive Bayern, Cluster Neue Werkstoffe, Cluster Mechatronik & Automation, Composites United e.V. / MAI Carbon, the Augsburg Technology Center, the Augsburg Innovation Park and the EDIH and RECENTRE projects.

Visits to the Material Resource Management Institute, the AI Show Room, Hall 43 and the Fraunhofer IGCV were also highlights.

Partners from companies and science from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Germany, Montenegro, Austria, Slovenia, Ukraine and Hungary took the opportunity to network with partners from Bavaria. There was an intensive exchange about the network and research landscape in Bavaria, interesting insights during the guided tours and exciting discussions on the specialist topics.

As part of the knowledge transfer in the Danube region, the RTIT project presents international network partners who provide decisive impetus for material innovations. RTIT helps to translate research results into industrial applications more quickly, strengthen cross-border cooperation and close existing innovation gaps with leading EU regions.
