An Italian company that manufactures innovative bio-based polymer materials is seeking international manufacturers and technology providers for industrial compaction systems. The company uses a patented process to produce sustainable polymer compounds from recycled plastics, wood waste, and natural additives. Challenge
The wood flour used is derived from wood waste from the carpentry and wood processing industries. Due to its very fine grain size of 180 to 200 µm, it is currently classified as potentially explosive dust. This results in increased requirements for workplace safety, handling, storage, and internal logistics. The company therefore wishes to convert the wood flour into a stable, compact, and more easily handled form. In doing so, the chemical and physical properties, as well as the particle size required for subsequent polymer processing, must not be compromised.
Partners/Partnerships Sought
We are seeking industrial suppliers with proven experience in the development and manufacture of compaction systems for fine biomass powders, particularly wood flour. The partners should be able to provide a suitable technical solution that is appropriate for particle sizes ranging from 180 to 200 µm and preserves the required material properties.
Expected services include the delivery of the compaction system or technology, support with installation, commissioning, and integration into existing production lines, as well as customer service, maintenance, and training for operating personnel. Ideally, the partner will be willing to adapt the system to specific process requirements and to collaborate with the Italian company on a long-term basis.
