General meeting of Bavaria Makes e.V.: Growing membership base and strong cooperation as a success factor

23.04.2026

The most recent general meeting of Bavaria Makes e.V. in March impressively demonstrated how dynamically the network for industrial additive manufacturing is developing in Bavaria. A steadily growing base of over 35 members from industry, SMEs, research institutions and technology partners underlines the increasing importance of the association as a central platform for exchange, cooperation and joint implementation.

The focus of the meeting was on personal dialog between the members. It became clear that the added value of Bavaria Makes lies in particular in the close networking along the entire value chain: Different competencies from material and process development to plant and application knowledge through to industrial scaling are brought together in a targeted manner. This results in new project ideas, resilient partnerships and concrete approaches for the further industrialization of additive manufacturing.

The continued growth in membership strengthens the network not only quantitatively, but also qualitatively. With each additional organization, Bavaria Makes gains in professional depth, technological breadth and application proximity. This diversity makes it possible to address challenges together at an early stage and bring innovations from idea to practice more quickly.

The members' meeting made it clear that Bavaria Makes is increasingly developing into an active cooperation area in which joint initiatives are created, expertise is shared and industrial solutions are driven forward. The association is thus creating an important basis for sustainably strengthening additive manufacturing in Bavaria and developing it further together.
