Viktor Schacherl is a program manager at Wavelab—the innovation lab and startup center at the Munich University of Music and Performing Arts. In this role, he supports forward-looking projects in the cultural and creative industries and is committed to fostering sustainable collaboration between the arts, science, and business. Before focusing on the intersection of culture and technology, he worked for several years as a music journalist—including as a host and editor at M94.5, as well as at egoFM, MusikBlog, and the Süddeutsche Zeitung. He also headed the events and PR department at MEDIASCHOOL BAYERN and helped shape club and festival formats—for example, at the Muffatwerk, Feierwerk, and Milla Club—as well as serving as a booker for the ZAMANAND Festival and the Isarinselfest. Today, he brings his experience as a journalist, curator, event organizer, and networker to Wavelab to provide the cultural and creative industries with a platform for technological innovation and interdisciplinary exchange.
