Thomas Mayerl is Head of Low- and Medium-Voltage Energy Management Development at AUDI AG and Head of the LV-Energy Steering Committee Office. He is responsible for the strategic and technical development of energy management functions for future vehicle architectures and coordinates cross-brand energy-related activities within the Volkswagen Group.
Having joined Audi in 2002, Thomas has held various technical and leadership positions across production, after-sales, pre-series development, and electrical/electronic engineering. His international experience includes assignments in Germany and Mexico, where he led teams and supported vehicle launch and industrialization programs.
His areas of expertise include energy efficiency, sleep current and operating current management, low-voltage systems, and the integration of energy requirements into software-defined vehicle architectures.
