Susanne Lehner
Jens Igney,
Prof. Dr.-Ing. Susanne Lehner earned her diploma in Electrical Engineering at Friedrich-Alexander Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg in 2010 specializing in automation technology. She then completed her PhD at RWTH Aachen University (ISEA), focusing on battery system technology and system-level failure probabilities. Beginning in 2012, she simultaneously served as chief engineer at the chair. In 2017, she joined MAN Energy Solutions in Augsburg, where she established and led the research area Hybrid Systems and Batteries. From 2019 onward, she headed the technology development at MAN ES. Since 2024, she has been a full professor of Electrochemical and Electrical Energy Technologies at Friedrich-Alexander Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg. Her research centers on variance, state estimation and safety of battery systems as well as the optimal operation.
