Dr. Sonja Angloher-Reichelt is a geographer with a degree in physical geography, specializing in geology and soil science. In 2001 she received her doctorate from the University of Tübingen in the Department of Geology and Geochemistry with a thesis on stable isotopes as environmental tracers in contaminated aquifers.

She gained professional experience at UHTEC KG, Institut für Umweltanalytik, a medium-sized company specializing in water, soil, sewage sludge and air analysis.

Since 2002, Dr. Sonja Angloher-Reichelt has been working at Bayern Innovativ GmbH in the field of international networks: initially "Innovation Relay Centre", since 2008 "Enterprise Europe Network" of the European Commission. Her main areas of expertise are environmental and energy technology, international technology transfer and innovation management. She is also Chair of the "Intelligent Energy Sector Group" of the Enterprise Europe Network.
