Prof. Dr.-Ing. Rüdiger Rupp

"Prof. Dr.-Ing. Rüdiger Rupp, has been a graduate engineer in electrical engineering since 2008 and completed his studies and dissertation at the Technical University of Karlsruhe. In 2018, he was awarded the venia legendi in "Experimental Neurology" at Heidelberg University. Since 2021, he has held the professorship for Assistive Neurotechnology at Heidelberg University.
Since 1996, he has been working at the Department of Paraplegiology at Heidelberg University Hospital as head of the Experimental Neurorehabilitation Section, which deals with the introduction and establishment of engineering expertise in clinical areas, especially in the functional rehabilitation of paraplegics.
He is the author of more than 400 journal, book and conference articles and holds two patents. He has been awarded several times for his scientific achievements and is a member of IEEE, IFESS, VDE, DMGP, NervClub, DGOOC, ISCoS. He is Associate Editor of Spinal Cord and board member of ASIA, DMGP and DSQ."
