Oliver D. Doleski is a Principal at Siemens AG and a well-known publisher in the industry. After studying economics at university in Munich and holding various management positions in the public sector as well as in consulting and service companies, he worked successfully for many years as a cross-industry management consultant. Today, he is intensively involved in the digital transformation of the energy industry, the Internet of Things (IoT), sector coupling and, last but not least, smart cities, particularly in the energy sector.

His research focuses on areas such as business model development (integrated business model iOcTen), digital decarbonization of energy systems in industry and urban areas.

Oliver D. Doleski established a concise term for the transition from the analog to the digital energy industry back in 2016 with the term Utility 4.0. As a member of energy industry initiatives, he has been actively shaping the transformation of the energy industry for years and is a member of the advisory board of the German Smart City Association (BVSC). As an editor and author, he incorporates the expertise he has gained in business practice and research into numerous industry-wide publications and specialist books.
