I began my scientific career with a deep enthusiasm for the development of blood cells and their functional characterization. During my Ph.D. research on the development of hematopoietic stem cells, I became familiar with the physical phenotyping of cells and was fascinated by the possibility of using label-free biophysical cell markers for clinical diagnostics. During my postdoc, this fascination ultimately led to the founding of Rivercyte GmbH.
