Kathrin Singer earned a B.Sc. in Economics with a focus on macroeconomics and an M.Sc. in Economics from Friedrich-Alexander University of Erlangen-Nuremberg.

She has been with Bayern Innovativ since 2020, where she focuses in particular on strategic foresight, roadmapping, and trend and technology scouting. In this role, she works at the intersection of strategy and implementation, develops and facilitates workshops, and communicates complex content as a speaker in a manner tailored to specific audiences across various contexts. In addition, she develops participatory knowledge transfer formats and methods and actively shapes the transfer system by bringing together actors in the innovation ecosystem and, together with various stakeholders, developing and implementing new approaches to collaboration and knowledge transfer.

In 2025, she took over as head of the Innovation Management division at Bayern Innovativ. In this role, she empowers organizations to contextualize technological developments, identify potential early on, and derive concrete action steps from them.
