Jürgen Frickinger completed his degree in electrical engineering at the Friedrich-Alexander University of Erlangen-Nuremberg in 1995, graduating with a Diplom-Ingenieur degree.

For more than 13 years, he devoted himself to research in microelectronics at the Fraunhofer IISB. In his role as group leader there, he was responsible for a cleanroom laboratory specialising in contamination analysis and also gained valuable professional experience abroad through stays lasting several months in the USA, Japan and Belgium.

Jürgen Frickinger has been with Bayern Innovativ GmbH since 2009. He heads the Electronics division and is the contact person for the Medical Technology Cluster at Forum Medtech Pharma. In addition, he has held the position of group leader in the Technology division since 2018.

He has led the Bavarian Chips Alliance since its foundation in 2022.
