Florian Haselbeck holds the AI research professorship "Smart Farming" at the Weihenstephan Campus of Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences and heads the international Master's degree program "Digital Farming". After studying mechatronics and computer science and completing his doctorate in artificial intelligence at the Technical University of Munich, he is working on the application of modern AI methods in agriculture. His methodological research focuses on computer vision, time series forecasting and multimodal machine learning, which he uses together with his research group of six scientific collaborators in a wide range of application fields - from crop production and animal husbandry to issues beyond agriculture. His projects combine current AI research with specific applications in the interdisciplinary field of smart farming.
