Dr.-Ing. Andreas Rimböck studied civil engineering at the Technical University of Munich.

After completing his doctorate, he chose to work in Bavaria's water management administration and has held various positions since then. He is currently head of the "Hydraulic Engineering, Flood and Water Protection" department at the Bavarian State Office for the Environment in Augsburg.

He is also Deputy Chairman of the Bavarian State Association of the German Association for Water and Waste Management. In this role, he has initiated a cooperation between important chambers and associations in the construction sector on the topic of "water-sensitive planning and construction" (www.schwammstadt.bayern).
