This results in new requirements for more efficient energy production and use, the development and demonstration of innovative energy technologies and the use of renewable energies.  ZREU, the Center for the Rational Use of Energy and the Environment, has been meeting these requirements as a reliable and competent partner in all energy and environmental issues for more than 20 years. Following on from the work begun in 1983 as a special-purpose association "Regional Development and Energy", ZREU has consistently continued on the path to becoming a nationally and internationally active consulting company with the establishment of a privately organized, legally independent company in 1995. Today, ZREU GmbH offers a comprehensive service package and accompanies its clients from the initial idea through feasibility studies and concepts to the planning and realization of projects in the energy  and environmental sectors. Locally and (supra)regionally, we are active for counties, cities and municipalities as well as in various sectors of industry and commerce.
