At the Chair of Design and CAD we research innovative topics in the fields of drive technology and mechatronic machine elements, component calculation, simulation and FEM as well as component and system design, design methodology - and of course CAD.

According to the principle of "generating knowledge, structuring knowledge and imparting knowledge", we are engaged in mostly interdisciplinary research projects to develop solutions for current challenges, for example in the areas of digitalization, mobility or energy, and to make them usable above all for German SMEs.
