A secure and modern energy and water supply forms the basis for the economic performance and future viability of the city of Stein - for all its citizens, from private households, agriculture, trade and industry to the municipal tasks. As an economically independent energy and water supply company, StSt stands for this security and offers its customers customized supply offers. The StSt sell annually approx. 30,000 MWh river, 70,000 MWh gas, 770,000 m³ water and 13,500 MWh warmth to their customers at competitive prices.

The supply area of the StSt covers the entire city area of stone and, depending upon kind of energy differently, the largest parts of the surrounding, eingemeindeten local parts.

To ensure the supply of the approximately 14.000 inhabitants to ensure, the StSt maintain extensive technical facilities, such as

52 km medium-voltage network and 125 km low-voltage network in the power supply

39 km supply lines in two pressure levels for the safe supply of natural gas

76 km supply lines for drinking water supply as well as

a conventional bivalent heating plant (natural gas / oil) to supply over 1.100 private and business customers with hot water and space heating.
