SKZ KFE gGmbH

The Kunststoff - Zentrum SKZ has been active for over 60 years with approx. 400 employees in research and development, testing, training and further education of specialists as well as certification of management systems. More than 10,000 participants p.a. take part in SKZ's advanced training courses, and in research about 140 scientists work in about 100 public research and numerous industrial projects. SKZ has an outstanding process infrastructure for all processing methods in the plastics industry. The focus is on the development and optimization of materials or testing methods, plastics processing methods such as injection molding, extrusion or 3D printing. Circular economy, marine litter, energy transition and climate protection are addressed in the research area Sustainability-Circular Economy and solutions are developed to significantly improve circular economy, resource efficiency, energy costs and CO2 emissions in terms of environment and sustainability.
